A construction worker got the shock of a lifetime when they stumbled across a ‘brain’.
Jimmy Senda was taking a walk along Racine Beach, Wisconsin, earlier this week when he spotted the ‘organ’, which had been placed inside of a square package and wrapped in aluminium foil.
Speaking to local media, Jimmy said he just wanted to know what it was and thought the answer might lie inside.
He told Fox6 News: “Curiosity got to me, so I popped it open and it looked like a chicken breast.
“It took a little bit for it to really (register) of what was going on; it was a brain.”
Jimmy said he also found a bunch of flowers alongside it, as well as a piece of paper with what what appeared to be Mandarin writing on it.
To double check his theory he then went over to a group of workmen nearby and said they also believed it to be a brain.
He went on: “I don’t really know how to explain it. I was just like, ‘What is this?'”
Jimmy said the beach was popular with families and said he was concerned that a child could have stumbled across that if he hadn’t picked it up first.
He added: “There’s a lot of kids and families that are down here,’ he said. ‘What happens if a kid would have found it?”
The strange find had cops stumped, with officers also saying that it looked like a brain.
Speaking to Fox, police revealed that the brain is not believed to belong to a human, but this would not be confirmed until a proper examination had been carried out by the local Medical Examiner’s office.
But this isn’t the first time someone has come across something strange while enjoying a stroll along the sand.
Earlier this month, bizarre bundle of sea creatures washed up on a UK beach and could be worth an awful lot of money.
Martyn Green and his family, from New Brighton, were on a weekend away near Caernarfon in North Wales when they stumbled upon what they at initially was a massive piece of driftwood.
However, on closer inspection they noticed the log was absolutely covered in tentacled creatures in shells, with Martyn saying it’s unlike anything he’s ever seen before.
He told the Liverpool Echo: “My wife Gemma, she found it. We were walking on the beach and she called us and said, ‘Come back, look at this’.
“We went and had a look and it looked like something not of this world.
“It was quite an attraction for the locals.”
