A mother has revealed she found a shocking note in a toy she purchased from Kmart, revealing she was worried there was more notes to be found.
A Kmart customer was left stunned after she found a horrifying note on her son’s new toy.
The mother said she had purchased her son a toy from a Kmart in Penrith, western Sydney, but it wasn’t until she got home that she found the grim discovery.
“You’re going to die in 10 days,” the note read.
The woman was upset at what she had found.
“Absolutely disgusting people do this – especially in kids toys,” she wrote on Facebook.
The mum added that her son was unable to read the note but she felt sick about the kids that may have found this and were able to read it.
She added that she was worried there were other messages hidden at the shop.
Other social media users were also disgusted by the note.
“What the hell? That’s disgusting. Seriously, what’s wrong with people today,” one person commented.
Another said: “Some people out there have issues.”
A third person echoed the concern.
“What kind of sick a**hole does that? Contact Kmart and tell them, darling. Just so wrong,” the person said.
The customer service team from Kmart also saw the post and were quick to reply.
“Customer service is important to us, as are our customers, so we’re really sorry to hear about your recent experience at our Penrith store. We’ll be sure to pass your feedback along,” the representative commented on the Facebook post.
Kmart Australia have been contacted for comment.
