Rapid antigen testing expected to become more important as Australia moves away from COVID-zero goal

Medical experts say rapid antigen tests will become more important as states and territories give up on eliminating the Delta variant of COVID-19. 

Until now, rapid tests have not been prioritised because they are not as accurate as PCR tests, but the Australian Medical Association says they could help reduce the number of people carrying the disease in the community.
