A teen bride has been slammed for marrying an 89-year-old man with dementia for his money.
The 19-year-old’s shameful intentions became known when her private messages to friends and a social media post were leaked after their wedding.
One text shows the bride bragging that she married the elderly man so she would be “the sole person who gets his inheritance”.
Another Twitter post shows the teenager gloating that she is “one day closer to being widowed” by the age of 30.
Photos of the bride and her elderly groom, whose identities have been obscured, have since gone viral on Reddit and Facebook.
One snap shows the bride snuggling into her new husband’s side as they pose for the camera.Another shows the couple laughing as they prepare to cut their wedding cake at their reception.
It is believed the dementia patient’s wife and children have all passed away, meaning there is no-one left to challenge the woman’s actions.
It has also been claimed that the teen bride is one of the elderly man’s nurses.
Reddit users have shared their disgust at the woman’s actions, calling on authorities to intervene.
“This is heartbreaking,” said one. “I hope someone steps in and has this marriage annulled.”
Added another: “She should be in prison.”
