A bride and groom’s wedding photo has divided social media, with many slamming the nuptials as “disrespectful”.
The image of the unidentified newlyweds show them saying “I do” in the middle of a cemetery.
The bride and groom appear have set up their ceremony in the middle of a graveyard, arranging chairs among the remains of people’s loved ones.
The backdrop for the couple’s first kiss as husband and wife is a row of crypts and countless tombstones and graves.
The eerie setting for the wedding has been criticised by some.
“I really don’t like this,” said one.
“Please, there are other people’s loved ones buried here. This is not a place to celebrate your random quirky halloween party.”
Another user on Reddit, where the image was posted, said: “Disrespectful. People go there to grieve their family and friends who have died, not watch trendy hipsters get married.”
But others disagreed, saying cemeteries make a lovely location for a wedding.
“I don’t see a problem with it,” said one Reddit user.
“The people buried there would want someone to have happy memories there. I know I would. Who wants to be buried at a place only used by sad people?”
Wrote another: “Cemeteries are great open spaces that should be used for more than just funerals. Just don’t do it while a funeral is going on.”
