Victoria has recorded two new locally acquired cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
The two cases are linked to the current outbreaks and both have been in quarantine throughout their infectious period.
The positive cases were detected after 21,417 Victorians came forward to get tested. During the same period, 15,030 vaccine doses were administered.
Victoria is entering its sixth day out of a lockdown prompted by the rapid spread of the highly infectious Delta variant.
Victoria’s Chief Health Officer Brett Sutton said yesterday the state was on track to drive down the number of local COVID-19 infections to zero.
Yesterday, four new locally acquired cases were reported in Victoria, again all were in quarantine throughout their entire infectious period.
