All is set for the premiere of the comedy Something’s Going On with Lazaros, staged by the EEAMA Theatre Group. As director Haris Konstantinidis told us, audiences can expect plenty of laughter — enough to “shake the seats”.
The EEAMA theatre company has been active since 1950, offering high-quality theatrical productions to the community. Over the decades, the group has earned respect for its polished performances, delivering one or two productions each year, complete with carefully designed sets, costumes, music, and all the elements needed for an outstanding theatre experience.
Their focus is mainly on comedy — as the audience demands. As Mr Konstantinidis puts it, “Who doesn’t want to go out, unwind and laugh for two hours?” It’s a trend seen worldwide, with theatre-goers increasingly drawn to comedies.
This production features many talented young performers with excellent Greek, alongside experienced veteran actors who are gradually passing the baton to the next generation.
