Victoria has recorded a full week without any new local COVID-19 cases being detected, as the government prepares to announce a further easing of restrictions.
The state processed 27,498 test results on Tuesday, and 15,784 vaccination doses were delivered at state-run sites.
Senior Victorian government ministers are meeting this morning to finalise eased restrictions.
The ABC understands masks will no longer be mandatory in offices but will still be required in public-facing roles and hospitality.
Discussions are still being held on how large crowds should be in the next step of eased restrictions.
There is still some concern over how school holiday returnees from outbreak-hit zones interstate may affect the state’s COVID-free streak.
Business groups have been pushing hard for workplaces to be able to ditch masks indoors, arguing check-ins and rosters would make rapid contact tracing possible in the event of an outbreak.
