Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews has been taken to hospital following a “concerning” fall this morning.It is understood Mr Andrews took a fall while getting ready for work at home.The premier’s office said he did not have any head injuries, but added the fall was “concerning”.
Mr Andrews will undergo X-rays as a precaution.9News can confirm he was not transported to hospital by ambulance.Deputy Premier James Merlino will step in for Mr Andrews at a scheduled media conference today.The premier was due to make an announcement in Healesville, about 52km north-east of Melbourne, at 9.20am, but he will not be returning to work for the rest of the day.
