Easter is upon us again and that means a whole heap of confusion with stores across the country either open, shut or operating at different hours.
To make things easier for you around the busy holiday period, we’ve done the leg work and collated a list of how major stores – Woolworths, Coles, Aldi, Bunnings and Big W – will be operating.
Make sure to get any last-minute shopping on Thursday ahead of the long weekend as most of their stores across the country will shut for Good Friday.
But from Saturday to Monday, stores in certain states and territories will start operating with varying hours.
What is open on Good Friday?
All Woolworths locations in New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania will be shut with most stores closed across the rest of the country.
All Coles stores will be shut save the few locations remaining open in South Australia.
Aldi, Big W and Bunnings have confirmed all their stores across the country will be closed.
What is open on Easter Saturday?
Woolworths stores across the country will all be open aside from a handful of metro stores.
Coles will also have most of its stores open, with some locations in New South Wales, Queensland and the Northern Territory operating at reduced hours.
All Aldi and Bunnings stores across the country will be open.
What is open on Easter Sunday?
All Woolworths stores in Queensland, Victoria, Western Australia and Tasmania will be open with only a handful of stores in the remaining states and territories open.
Most Coles stores in New South Wales and South Australia will be closed.
Stores in Victoria, Queensland, Western Australia and the Northern Territory will be open with some locations operating at reduced hours.
All Aldi stores in Victoria and Western Australia will be open while some locations will be running with reduced hours in New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory, Queensland and South Australia.
All Big W stores will be open with most locations in South Australia and Metro New South Wales closed.
All Bunnings stores will be open, with some in New South Wales closed in line with state regulations.
What is open on Easter Monday?
All Woolworths stores will be open across the country, aside from South Australia and the Northern Territory which will have a handful of stores open.
Coles will close most of its stores in South Australia. For the rest of the country, all stores will be open with some operating at reduced hours.
All Aldi stores across the country will be open, aside from South Australia which will still have some stores closed.
All Big W stores across the country will be open aside while most will be closed in South Australia.
All Bunnings stores will be open.
