Election of new President for PASOK-Movement for Change at voting centers in Melbourne and Sydney

Nomination Committee of PASOK-Movement for Change Oceania informs all members and friends of PASOK-Movement for Change that the process for electing a new President will take place on Sunday, October 6, 2024.

In Melbourne, the voting will occur:

  • Hours: 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.
  • Location: Building of the Greek Orthodox Community of Melbourne and Victoria (#EOKMV), 168 Lonsdale St, Melbourne, VIC 3000.

In Sydney, the voting will occur:

  • Hours: 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.
  • Location: Event hall of the Hellenic Association “Hermes,” 279 Forest Rd, Bexley, NSW 2207.

Eligibility to Vote

Eligible voters include:

  • All citizens over the age of 16 who are on the national electoral roll (i.e., those eligible to participate in Greek national elections).
  • New members and friends of PASOK-Movement for Change must complete the relevant registration form to participate in the voting process.

Voting Process

  • The first election will take place on Sunday, October 6, 2024. If a runoff is necessary, it will be held the following Sunday, October 13, 2024, in the same locations and hours.
  • To participate in the elections, voters must pay a fee of $5 (one time) to cover the election process expenses.
  • Voters who do not participate on the first Sunday will not be able to vote in the runoff election if needed. No fee is required for the second Sunday.

Identification Requirements

Voters must present an identification document, such as:

  • National identity card
  • Passport
  • Driver’s license
  • Any official government document with a photo
