Father & Son celebration at the Hellenic Museum

11 December, 2024

Following the success of last week’s Hellenic Museums Ladies Society Garden Party, the Hellenic Museum organised a Father & Son celebration at the Hellenic Museum, a special event on the 7th of December to celebrate the bond between fathers and sons.

A big thank you to the Nick Davos family for supporting the event.

The gathering aimed to bring fathers and sons together in a relaxed atmosphere, with traditional delicacies like lamb on the spit and exquisite music setting the tone for a memorable afternoon. The fathers in attendance enjoyed an amazing afternoon with their sons, sharing laughter, stories, and good food.

It was yet another thoughtful initiative by the Hellenic Museum, which continues to play a vital role in fostering meaningful connections within the Greek-Australian community, and in celebrating the important traditions of Hellenic culture. This event, focused on family, heritage, and togetherness, provided a space for fathers and sons to bond and reflect on their shared cultural values

By offering these unique experiences, the Hellenic Museum not only honours the relationship between father and son but also reinforces the role of the family in preserving the rich traditions and customs of Hellenic culture.

The outgoing Consul General of Greece in Melbourne, Mr. Kakavelakis, who has been highly successful and well-loved in the city, attended the event with his son, Stellios. Everyone present took the opportunity to express their gratitude for his valuable contribution to the community.
