Greek expatriates tax and business online workshop

The General Secretariat for Greeks Abroad and Public Diplomacy, in collaboration with the Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE), is organising an online workshop for expatriates and residents abroad on issues related to tax procedures and incentives, the use of taxisnet, online transactions with the State (e.g. payments), migration issues, starting a business in Greece, etc.

In particular, the workshop will cover the following topics:

  • Registration in the tax register
  • Tax residence for individuals
  • Transferring tax residency from Greece abroad
  • Alternative Taxation
  • Customs Exemptions Relating to the Transfer of Residence to Greece
  • Cash Reserves
  • Income categories and income taxation in Greece
  • Taxation of Greek-sourced income for Non-Residents
  • Taxation of non-Greek-sourced income for Greek Tax Residents
  • Property Taxation
  • Ways to transact online with IAPR
  • Starting a business in Greece

The workshop will take place on Wednesday, 9 July 2025, from 16:00 to 18:00 (EET).

The working language is English, and participants will have the opportunity to ask questions.

The workshop will be welcomed by the Secretary General for Greeks Abroad and Public Diplomacy, Ms. Maïra Myrogianni, and the Governor of the Independent Authority for Public Revenue, Mr. George Pitsilis.

In this context, we kindly ask that you inform the Greek communities and expatriate organisations in your area of responsibility.
