Tensions escalated sharply during far-right anti-immigration protests earlier today, in central Melbourne. Police deployed pepper spray, batons, and made multiple arrests after protesters clashed with pro-immigration supporters and local residents, creating a volatile situation in the city’s streets.
Authorities estimate that approximately 300 participants took part in the demonstration, organized by far-right groups, raising significant public safety concerns.
