USA: Evacuation and intense police activity at Tyler Robinson’s family home – new details emerge

13 September, 2025

On Friday morning (local time), Washington, Utah, was placed on high alert as authorities ordered the evacuation of the area surrounding the family home of 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, who has been arrested and confessed to the murder of prominent conservative commentator Charlie Kirk.

According to Fox News, heavily armed police forces surrounded the property, instructing journalists and residents to leave the vicinity for safety reasons. Police helicopters circled overhead, and roadblocks were set up to secure the neighborhood.

Reports speak of “disturbing findings” inside or near the residence, though officials have not released specific details. The tense atmosphere has left local residents fearful of potential further violence or the possibility of weapons or explosives linked to the crime.

Meanwhile, CBS has revealed a dramatic new account of Robinson’s conversation with his father. The father, a Republican and courthouse security officer, recognized his son in photos released by authorities and confronted him directly. Robinson admitted the killing and, when urged to surrender, replied, “I’d rather kill myself.” After seeking advice from a family pastor—who also failed to persuade Robinson—the father contacted the FBI himself. Robinson was arrested 33 hours after Kirk’s murder.

The case has sent shockwaves across the United States, with media outlets emphasizing that tensions surrounding Kirk, a polarizing conservative activist, are fueling broader concerns about public safety and political violence nationwide.
