Australian Open semifinalist Tsitsipas has won the hearts of fans across the globe; but for the Greek Australian community, he is a special hero.

Although a bit tired, the 20-year-old tennis champion was full of smiles, laughs, and gratitude for his fans as he socialized with event attendees. The evening was organized by the Greek Orthodox Community of Melbourne and Victoria (GOCMV).

Tsitsipas shared with his youngest fans some heartfelt words of advice and encouragement on following their dreams, no matter what setbacks they encounter.

At the celebrations, Tsitsipas also took the opportunity to reflect on his love for the sport of tennis as well as the support that he felt from his Greek and Australian fans. He had special appreciation for the support from his biggest fans — his parents and siblings — during the Australian Open.

Tsitsipas signed countless autographs, as young fans gathered around him, taking selfies with their new sporting idol.
