“I feel proud to be from Northern Epirus”. Alexis Pappas, I am Greek, born in Northern Epirus

Alexis Pappas, the well-known model and actor, spoke openly about his origins and said with pride that he is Greek for being born in Northern Epirus. In a recent interview with the “Breakfast@Star” camera, he made it clear that he is not bothered by discussions about his origin, but instead feels honoured to come from a region with such a rich Greek history.

“Northern Epiros is Greek”.

Alexis Pappas did not hesitate to emphasize his deep connection with his roots, noting that he grew up with Greek morals, values and traditions. “I did not experience racism, because when you grow up with Greek education, language and ideals, there is no reason to feel different. I am Greek and I feel proud of my origins,” he said.

At the same time, he expressed his displeasure with journalists who try to create impressions by distorting reality: “They have embarrassed me with questions from the press: “How does it feel to be from Albania?”. But that is not the truth! The truth is that I am Greek, I just happened to be born in the North Continent.”

Pride in the Greekness of Northern Epirus!

The actor stressed that the Greekness of Northern Epirus is not open to question and that it should not be the subject of misinformation. “Northern Epiros is Greek. There is no need to regurgitate inaccuracies to create news. There are facts, there is history, and it does not change.”

With this statement, Alexis Pappas sent a clear message: his love for his roots and his homeland of Northern Epirus is something that fills him with pride, and nothing can alter this reality.
