Football extravaganza in Melbourne

Ange Postecoglou is coming with Tottenham Hotspur to take on Newcastle United FC at the MCG

May will be a month full of football. Top teams from the English Premier League, men’s and women’s division will be playing in our city as part of Global Football Week Melbourne on the 22nd and 24th of May.

The matches will take place at the MCG and Marvel Stadium. The biggest match will be hosted at the MCG on Wednesday 22 May where Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham will face Newcastle United FC.

After two days a select group of A-League men’s club selectors will take on Newcastle United FC, who are visiting Australia for the first time.

The celebration of football doesn’t stop here as the A-League Women All Stars will take on Arsenal Women FC of the English Women’s League (WSL).

This will be the first time Arsenal Women FC will be playing in Australia and their squad includes Matildas, Steph Catley, Kyra Cooney-Cross and Caitlin Foord.
