Guterres: “I am determined to restart talks on the Cyprus issue”

United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres stated he is determined to act toward the resumption of talks on the Cyprus issue.

Responding to a related question during a press briefing, he said: “I am not pessimistic, I am not simply optimistic, I am determined to restart the talks,” Guterres declared.

He also added that, on the sidelines of the Summit, he will meet with the leaders of both sides in Cyprus.
