“His hand worked like a compressor, it was brutal” – Eyewitnesses describe 29-year-old’s fatal beating of 58-year-old in Neos Kosmos

19 November, 2025

Eyewitnesses have described extreme violence in the assault that led to the death of a 58-year-old man in Neos Kosmos.

The 29-year-old attacker reportedly targeted the man because he had blocked him on the road. According to the perpetrator, the victim sprayed him with pepper spray before the attack. Police have obtained video showing the victim spraying the assailant.

The assailant’s father has also been arrested for attempting to hide his son’s motorcycle.

Eyewitnesses spoke of the shocking brutality:

“I only heard a bang, and then the guy on the motorbike started punching him repeatedly. He left him there… He never got up again. His breathing stopped. His hand worked like a compressor, it was extreme… really extreme violence,” one witness told OPEN TV.

Another witness described, “The vehicle turned, they blocked him, people got off their bikes, opened the car door, and struck him multiple times in the head before leaving.”

A third said, “It was a crashed car, with people, police, and an ambulance had come.”

Attack Motivated by Road Rage

The 29-year-old, of Albanian descent, told police that the incident occurred around 5 p.m. near a gym. He claimed that the victim had blocked his path. When he confronted him, the 58-year-old sprayed him with pepper spray and drove off. The perpetrator then followed him on his motorcycle and brutally beat him, resulting in the man’s death shortly afterward.

Police confirmed they have video showing the victim using pepper spray on the attacker.

The assailant’s father was arrested after trying to hide his son’s motorcycle during a home search.

Described as a “Chase”

A local resident described the event as a chase, saying, “I saw the car passing with bikes behind it like a pursuit. They didn’t stop at any stop signs. At first, we thought the police were chasing someone.” The resident added that the victim’s car passed twice along the same street, which ends in a dead end.
