21 March, 2024

A major cannabis plant seizure has taken place in Melbourne’s northern suburbs as police raided a factory that was operating a sophisticated cannabis cultivation facility.

Specifically, police discovered and seized more than 500 cannabis plants after executing a search warrant at a factory on Leo Street in Fawkner. The plants have an estimated street value of $1.4 million.

Two St Albans men, aged 20 and 45, were arrested at the scene and charged with cultivating a large commercial quantity of cannabis. They are currently free on bail and are due to appear in court on 30 July.
