Hundreds of Santas take part in Athens run 2019

18 December, 2019

Hundreds of people dressed in Santa Claus costumes took part on Sunday in a special
3-kilometer charity run in the center of Athens.

This merry tradition returned to the streets of Athens for the sixth year to put the fun back into run where no-one’s keeping time, to bring the joy of the holiday season and to help good causes.

This year people run to raise money for Together for Children and the City of Athens Cultural, Sport & Youth Organization (OPANDA).

Many streets were closed for this event, although in the spirit of the holiday season, commuters didn’t seem to mind.
