The Fronditha Care Foundation recently hosted its inaugural fundraising event, In Conversation, featuring a compelling dialogue with Mark Bouris, Executive Chairman of Yellow Brick Road Home Loans. Mark Bouris reflects on identity, family, and legacy at Fronditha Care Foundation event. The event, attended by over 90 guests, was moderated by Fronditha Care CEO Faye Spiteri OAM.

Bouris, a renowned Australian entrepreneur and media personality, is best known for founding Wizard Home Loans and later establishing Yellow Brick Road in 2007. His career spans over three decades in the financial services industry, during which he has become a prominent figure in wealth management and business mentorship. Beyond his business ventures, Bouris has hosted television programs such as The Celebrity Apprentice Australia and The Mentor, further solidifying his role as a mentor to aspiring business leaders.

During the event, Bouris shared candid reflections on his upbringing in Western Sydney as the son of a Greek father and Irish-Australian mother. He discussed how his early life experiences shaped his professional journey and instilled in him a drive to innovate within the financial sector. Bouris also emphasized the importance of community, cultural identity, and the desire to be remembered as someone deeply connected to his family and heritage.

The Fronditha Care Foundation, established in 2023, aims to enhance the health and well-being of older Australians, with a particular focus on those from culturally diverse backgrounds. Building upon Fronditha Care’s nearly 50-year legacy of providing culturally appropriate aged care, the Foundation seeks to fund research, programs, and advocacy initiatives that promote inclusive and dignified ageing experiences.

Dr. Stella Laletas, Chair of the Fronditha Care Foundation, concluded the event by expressing gratitude to Bouris and all attendees. She highlighted the Foundation’s commitment to creating lasting, positive change in the aged care sector, ensuring that elders from all backgrounds receive the support and respect they deserve.
