Police reveal four new childcare centres where accused predator worked

15 July, 2025

Police have confirmed that Joshua Brown, the childcare worker facing multiple charges over alleged sexual offences against children, was employed at four additional early learning centres across Victoria.

The disturbing revelations came as part of an ongoing investigation by Victoria Police’s Sexual Crimes Squad into Brown’s movements and employment history within the childcare sector.

The newly named centres and dates of employment are:

  • Kids Academy Waratah Estate, Mickleham – August 29, 2024
  • Milestones Early Learning Tarneit, Tarneit – September 10 and 13, 2024
  • Milestones Early Learning Braybrook, Braybrook – December 4 and 6, 2024
  • Milestones Early Learning Greensborough, Greensborough – December 5, 2024; January 31 and February 27, 2025

These latest disclosures follow widespread public outrage after it emerged that Brown had continued working in the sector despite prior investigations into his conduct.

A dedicated government website now lists all known locations and dates where Brown was employed, in an effort to provide transparency to concerned families.

The growing list of affected sites has sparked calls for urgent reforms in childcare worker vetting and information sharing between employers. It remains unclear how Brown was able to obtain new roles after earlier misconduct reports had been raised.

Authorities have assured the public that the investigation remains a top priority. More charges may follow as new information comes to light.
