Preston Market’s Greek Day Festival 2024

8 April, 2024

For almost an entire decade, the Preston Market in partnership with the «MANASIS» School of Greek Dance and Culture, have been presenting their famous Greek cultural festivals, exhibiting dance, music and costumes from across all the geographical regions of Greece.

Preston Market’s slogan “it’s not just a market, it’s a community!” is validated by its ongoing commitment to diversity, and through its series of festivals annually, each highlighting the various cultural identities which make up the market and the precinct more generally.

Τhis year the Preston market held its annual Greek Day last Sunday 7 April with great success. The event was undoubtedly the largest Greek Day Festival the market has ever hosted, with hundreds of attendees visiting the precinct, watching, supporting, and participating in the dance and other cultural activities on offer throughout the course of the event.

We therefore extend our sincere appreciation to vendors, volunteers, sponsors and particularly the members of our wider Greek community, who responded to the call out and opportunity to participate.

Special thanks to OPA-cize Greek Dance Fitness, Akrites Tou Pontou, and Anagennisi Band for their support and performances on the day.
