Thousands of professional and amateur runners participated in the 8th Athens Half Marathon held in the center of the Greek capital on Sunday morning.
The race held on a beautiful and warm spring day started and ended in Syntagma Square, opposite the Greek parliament.
It is a unique opportunity to run around the Acropolis and through the historical district of Athens. Runners enjoy the beauty of the city and experience an outstanding celebratory mood that characterizes this event.
In addition to the Half Marathon, there were also three-kilometer and five-kilometer races designed for younger and elder participants.
