US, UK, France approve strikes on Russia, NATO set for direct conflict in Ukraine

18 November, 2024

Bombshell from Le Figaro! US, UK, France approve strikes on Russia, NATO set for direct conflict in Ukraine. This is a transparent attempt to escalate the Ukraine War before Trump takes office.

Biden is now the straw man, as his backers attempt to sabotage Trump’s potential return by triggering a world war—when POTUS himself was committed to ensuring a smooth transition. US, UK, France approve strikes on Russia; NATO set for direct conflict in Ukraine.

US and Allies Escalate in Ukraine: ATACMS, Storm Shadow, and SCALP Missiles Approved for Strikes on Russian Territory

Reports suggest that the Biden administration has given Ukraine the go-ahead to use ATACMS missiles against Russian territory, specifically in the Kursk region, marking the first official approval for such strikes. The New York Times highlights that these missiles have a range of 50 miles, with initial targets potentially including Russian and alleged North Korean forces in western Russia. However, Biden has denied authorising the use of longer-range ATACMS, which can reach up to 190 miles.

In addition, Le Figaro reports that France and Britain have granted Ukraine permission to strike deep into Russian territory using SCALP and Storm Shadow missiles.

Analysts warn that the deployment of these weapons, especially the more powerful ATACMS variants with ranges up to 300 km, could target Russian command centres, airfields, and logistical hubs. Experts suggest these developments may force tactical changes, such as enhanced air defences and restrictions on troop movement in vulnerable areas.

Russian officials have reiterated that such actions would be viewed as direct NATO involvement in the conflict, escalating the risk of a broader confrontation. Vladimir Putin has made it clear, (his full statement below) that the use of Western long-range weapons against Russian soil would be considered an act of war by NATO.

As the US administration remains tight-lipped on the official confirmation, observers are awaiting further developments, including possible Russian responses.

In the meantime, it is noteworthy to read President Putin’s statements on this escalation from the west.

Full text of Vladimir Putin’s statement on the potential U.S. and allied authorization for long-range missile strikes deep into Russia, dated September 12, 2024:

This is not about permitting or prohibiting the Kiev regime from striking Russian territory. They are already doing so with drones and other means. However, when it comes to the use of long-range, high-precision Western-made weapons, it is an entirely different matter.

The fact is—and I have already spoken about this, and any experts, both ours and in the West, will confirm this—that the Ukrainian army is not capable of striking with modern, high-precision, long-range Western-made systems. They cannot do this. This is only possible with the use of satellite intelligence, which Ukraine does not possess. These are data from either European Union or United States satellites, essentially NATO satellites. That is the first point.

The second and perhaps most crucial point is that the flight missions for these missile systems can, in essence, only be programmed by NATO military personnel. Ukrainian military personnel cannot do this. Therefore, the issue is not about permitting or forbidding the Ukrainian regime to strike Russia with these weapons.

The issue is whether NATO countries decide to directly participate in the military conflict. If such a decision is made, it will mean nothing less than the direct involvement of NATO countries, the United States, and European nations in the war in Ukraine. This direct involvement will significantly change the nature of the conflict. It will mean that NATO countries, the United States, and European nations are at war with Russia. And if that is the case, given the fundamental change in the nature of this conflict, we will make decisions accordingly, based on the threats posed to us.
