“We are One” – ANT1 Christmas Telethon for Children – Monday, 22 December 2025

19 December, 2025

The needs that call for all of our support

Only a few days separate us from ANT1’s major Christmas Telethon for children. For more than 35 years, ANT1 has stood firmly beside Greek society, informing, entertaining and inspiring viewers. With a deep belief in the power of solidarity, it has made humanitarian contribution an integral part of its identity, conveying a timeless message of hope and compassion.

With the conviction that children are the most precious promise for tomorrow, ANT1 dedicates an entire day to the children of our country who need support and care, in every corner of Greece.

On Monday, 22 December, “We are One” through a Christmas Telethon of Solidarity for children. A day filled with hope, emotion and real-life stories, aiming to support the work of the non-profit organisations Desmos, ELIZA, SOS Children’s Villages, Floga and Make-A-Wish Greece, which stand by children in need every single day.

All ANT1 programmes on that day will unite their voices and hearts in a shared effort, so that together we can provide whatever children in our country need to grow up with safety, love and hope.

The needs in detail

Desmos: Through the organisation, our goal is to cover basic needs of hospital units in the Paediatric and Maternity Clinics of the General Hospital of Kefalonia, the Paediatric Clinic of the University General Hospital of Larissa, and the Karamanandaneio Children’s General Hospital of Patras.

ELIZA: We aim to cover the needs of programmes for the prevention and response to child abuse through the Child Safety Care Units at the “P. & A. Kyriakou” Children’s Hospital, the 3rd Paediatric Clinic of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, the University General Hospital “ATTIKON”, the Paediatric Clinic of Democritus University of Thrace at the University General Hospital of Alexandroupolis, the 3rd Paediatric Clinic of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki at Papageorgiou General Hospital, and the Paediatric Clinic of the University of Patras at the University General Hospital of Patras.

SOS Children’s Villages: Our aim is to ensure the coverage of basic and operational needs in the family homes in Vari, the Plagiari area of Thessaloniki, and Aristino in Alexandroupolis, which provide a protective and caring family environment for children and young people who have been deprived of parental care.

Parent’s Association of Children with Cancer – Floga: Our priority is to cover the annual maintenance of four accommodation houses — three in Goudi and one in Cholargos — which provide accommodation and support for up to 50 children with cancer, as well as their families, from all over Greece.

Make-A-Wish Greece: We seek to grant as many wishes as possible to children facing serious illnesses, recognising that every wish is a source of strength and motivation.

ANT1’s Christmas Telethon of Solidarity sends a powerful message that no child should ever feel alone. With everyone’s support, we can fill their hearts with warmth, smiles and dreams. Let us all open our arms and give, so that every child in our country can feel safe, loved and full of hope for the future.
