Four-day wedding celebration in Chania for Kasselakis and Macbeth

27 August, 2024

Tomorrow marks the beginning of a four-day wedding celebration for Stefanos Kasselakis and Tyler Macbeth in Chania.

According to reports, the President of SYRIZA and his husband, Tyler Macbeth, have planned a lavish ceremony that promises to be unforgettable for both the couple and their select guests.

The celebrations, which are significant milestones in the lives of the couple, will last four days, beginning on Wednesday, and concluding on Saturday, August 31st.

The Four-day festivities: A closer look

The program kicks off with an evening out for the couple and their guests, featuring a dinner at an event venue and another at a well-known restaurant in Chania’s old harbor.

Additionally, Stefanos Kasselakis plans to take his close friends out for a drink at a popular bar in the old town of Chania.

On the following day, the couple will enjoy a day at the beach with their guests at a renowned beach bar along Chania’s northern coastline.

These outings are set to be private affairs with close friends and family, as the couple wishes to avoid media coverage.

Friday’s main event: The wedding celebration at Chania’s Botanical Park

The highlight of the celebration will be held on Friday, August 30th, at Chania’s Botanical Park, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Guests will be welcomed at the park’s outdoor amphitheater, followed by a reception featuring local flavors and dishes crafted from regional products, homemade lemonade with herbs, and a cocktail made from Greek gin.

Strict security measures

Given that Stefanos Kasselakis and Tyler Macbeth wish to keep their outings and the ceremony itself private, there will be heightened police presence. This includes a 25-person security detail for the couple and their guests.

Furthermore, an anti-drone system will be in place to prevent any aerial footage from being captured. Guests and staff at the dining and entertainment venues will also have their mobile phones collected to ensure privacy throughout the celebration.
