The 2019 Australian Hellenic Golf Open (AHGO) was played on Monday 14th October 2019 at The Metropolitan Golf Club in Oakleigh South, Victoria.
The Tournament attracted 76 players from Melbourne and Adelaide, including a junior, Angelique Georgiou, who enjoyed playing on one of the best golf courses, not just in Melbourne, but the World.
The golf course was presented in immaculate condition, with beautifully manicured fairways and lovely greens. Whilst the sun was out, the strong northerly winds firmed up the greens, especially later in the morning, thus challenging the playing field.
The Tournament also raised $6,000 for PRONIA as a result of players’ donations at the Charity Hole in One and the Auction held during lunch. Unfortunately, there was no Hole In One which offered a 2019 Kia Stinger GT worth $65,000 courtesy of Northern Motor Group.
