And then there were eight, the quarterfinals are set at the 2024 UEFA European Championship!

After a thrilling Round of 16, that saw a number of exciting games, the final eight teams have secured their spots in the hunt for an international tournament trophy – the 2024 UEFA European Championship has officially reached the quarterfinals.

The four quarterfinal games have a number of intriguing storylines, including two marquee match-ups to kick things off when Spain takes on Germany and Portugal goes up against France with England, Netherlands, Switzerland and Turkey rounding out the contenders to determine which country will hold the Euros’ trophy for the next four years.

Notably absent from the list is Italy, the champions of the last European tournament (2020). Their 0-2 loss to Switzerland on Saturday meant that Spain’s accomplishment as the only nation to win back-to-back tournaments (2008, 2012) is safe.
