Greek–Australian households in financial need will receive an Easter Hamper in a joint
effort between the Greek Orthodox Parishes and the Greek Welfare Centre Victoria.
For over 2 decades the Greek Welfare Centre Victoria of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese
of Australia has taken the leading role in organising and co-ordinating an Easter and
Christmas Food Hampers Appeal, with the solid support of the Parish Network of the Greek
Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia and the Greek-Australian Community of Victoria.
The Greek Welfare Centre once again calls upon the Greek-Australian community to
demonstrate their “filotimo” (φιλότιμο) and contribute as much as they are able to. Any non-
perishable food items, are welcome.
Greek Australian businesses
The Greek Welfare Centre would like to encourage more Greek-Australian businesses to
give generously to our Easter Food Appeal. The more we collect, the more we are able to
distribute through our volunteer network to disadvantaged Greek–Australian families in
Metropolitan Melbourne.

there are no ruptures to the packaging.
