Join the Greek community for a night of endless laughter with the Hilarious hit: EEAMA’s ‘The Woman should fear the man’ delights the audience with a refreshing take on a beloved classic.
The premiere weekend and the following performances have been a resounding success, leaving more than 250 theatre-goers in stitches. EEAMA, celebrated for its 74-year legacy, has once again surpassed expectations with this engaging production.
Director Harry Konstantinidis brings a fresh perspective and inventive direction to this timeless comedy, originally known from the 1960s film. The story, set against the backdrop of the rapidly changing Athens of the 1960s and 1970s, explores the humorous yet poignant struggles of a typical couple, Antonakis and Eleni, as they navigate new societal norms and personal challenges.
The play’s charm lies in its relatable characters and witty dialogue. Antonakis, the “tyrant” who always “takes his hat and leaves,” and the “unmarried” Elenitsa, deliver non-stop laughter as they learn to balance love and modern life.
