Greek-Australian identical twins Vikki Moursellas and Helena Moursellas rose to national prominence after finishing as finalists on My Kitchen Rules in 2014. Now 37, the sisters say their extraordinary closeness has shaped both their professional achievements and their personal journeys.
Known for bringing Greek flavours to prime-time television — including their much-loved clementine and clove semolina cake — the twins have since built a food-focused career, releasing three cookbooks, among them Opa! Recipes Inspired by Greek Tavernas.
Growing up, the sisters were often seen through different lenses. Helena, born with Wolff–Parkinson–White syndrome, was viewed as the “delicate” twin, while Vikki was regarded as the “stronger” one. After their father’s death when they were just 12, Helena says she instinctively stepped into a protective role, strengthening an already intense bond.
While reality TV opened doors, both admit the transition back to everyday life was challenging. Helena pursued work in professional kitchens and food styling, describing the industry at the time as harsh and verbally demanding — though she credits its structure with helping her grow. Vikki carved out a path in food media.
Their relationship has evolved as life has taken them in different directions. Vikki is now a mother following IVF, while Helena relocated to London for career opportunities. Despite the distance, the twins remain deeply connected, speaking every day.
