23 August, 2024

A 5.0 magnitude earthquake has shaken parts of New South Wales.

The earthquake epicentre was near the mining town of Denman, about 250km north of Sydney, at 10km deep.

It was felt across the state, with reports saying it was felt as far south as Wollongong, according to Geoscience Australia.

Over 1000 people reported that they felt the shake, stretching from Dubbo, all the Muswellbrook, Newcastle, Port Macquarie, and even Sydney’s Mt Druitt.

More to come.
