Pronia‚ Mazi Palliative Care program for carers of people living wit life-limiting illness

Pronia’s‚ Mazi Palliative Care program for carers of people living with life-limiting illness organized an information session today in collaboration with Villa Maria Catholic Homes at Clayton Community Centre. Participants learnt about maintaining independence and quality of life through carers supports and services available in the region.
Carers have been described as by many as the daily tasks that they provide, while rewarding, are also definitely challenging. The session ex-plored what you can do to minimize impact on the physical and emotional wellbeing.

Pronia’s Mazi program wants to ensure that carers can continue to care while maintaining their health and wellbeing.

The next session planned for Clayton Community Centre is on Monday 9 September on the topic of Loss and Grief. Information will be provided on the various types of loss; acceptance; how carers can ensure they’re not getting stuck in the cycle of grief; and find out various supports and services available.
