Shocking revelations about the 42-year-old pimp in Agios Dimitrios

14 September, 2025

Athens is reeling after shocking revelations about a 42-year-old man accused of turning his gym in Agios Dimitrios into a hub of abuse and exploitation of women and minors.

According to Mega TV, for more than six years the suspect allegedly used threats, violence, and psychological intimidation to force victims into pornographic filming, cocaine use, and prostitution.

One young woman, only 16–17 years old at the time, reported being beaten and threatened with harm to her family if she spoke out. The suspect allegedly invoked the names of politicians, including the Minister for Citizen Protection, to frighten his victims. Michalis Chrysochoidis reacted swiftly, filing a lawsuit over the misuse of his name.

The property owner said he evicted the 42-year-old after suspecting illegal activity, but the man continued to intimidate him. Police are investigating charges of human trafficking, rape, drug trafficking, and production of pornographic material. The accused is scheduled to testify on Monday, as the local community expresses outrage and concern over how such crimes could remain hidden for years.

The case has reignited debate on improving protections for abuse victims and raising public awareness to detect and report suspicious activity early.
