Iranian regime accused of executing wounded protesters in hospitals as Trump issues ultimatum

11 February, 2026

Iran’s ruling regime has been accused of carrying out executions of wounded anti-government protesters inside hospitals, as United States President Donald Trump escalated pressure on Tehran with the threat of further military action.

Disturbing reports emerging from inside Iran allege that security forces have been raiding hospitals to hunt down protesters injured during last month’s nationwide demonstrations, executing some as they lay in hospital beds receiving medical treatment.

According to the New York Post, which cited unnamed sources, Iranian security personnel entered hospitals where wounded protesters were being treated following a brutal crackdown in which thousands were reportedly killed.

“They were in hospitals, with IV lines or breathing tubes attached to them,” one source said.

“And when you look closely, you realise they were shot in the head. They were executed — given the final shot — inside the hospital.”

Another source claimed the executions were continuing on a daily basis, while further allegations suggest sexual violence against detained protesters has become widespread. One source said the abuse was so severe that “some of the detained girls have even asked their families to send them contraceptive pills.”

According to Iran’s “No to Execution Tuesdays” campaign — a coalition of political prisoners held across 56 prisons nationwide — more than 207 people have been executed in the past three weeks alone.

The most recent execution reportedly involved Ali Heydari, a 20-year-old protester arrested during the January 8 crackdown. His death was confirmed by the Washington-based National Union for Democracy in Iran.

In addition to those already executed, the group warned that hundreds of detainees face an imminent risk of death, with many being held without due legal process or any formal notification to their families.

The campaign also warned that lawyers, doctors and medical staff who have assisted protesters are now being targeted by the regime.

“In line with intensifying repression and public intimidation, the executioner regime has arrested a number of lawyers, physicians and medical staff, indicating its growing fear of the people’s courageous uprising last January,” the group said in a statement.

These allegations come amid heightened tensions between Washington and Tehran, with President Donald Trump warning Iran to accept a new deal or face severe consequences.

President Trump is reportedly considering deploying a second US aircraft carrier to waters near Iran if Tehran refuses to engage constructively in a second round of negotiations scheduled for next week.

“Either we will make a deal or we will have to do something very tough like last time,” President Trump told Axios, referring to US strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities carried out in June.

“We have an armada that is heading there and another one might be going,” he added.

The United States currently has around 10 warships stationed in the Middle East, including the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln and its strike group.

Washington is demanding that Iran abandon its nuclear ambitions, dismantle its ballistic missile stockpiles, cease repression of protesters and halt its support for regional proxy militant groups.

However, during talks held in Oman last Friday, Iranian officials refused to discuss any issues beyond the country’s nuclear program, which was already set back following the June air strikes.

President Trump said that while the nuclear issue was fundamental, any agreement must also address Iran’s missile program.

His remarks came ahead of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s visit to the White House, where discussions are expected to focus heavily on Iran.

Meanwhile, Iran’s top security official Ali Larijani met with the Sultan of Oman, Haitham bin Tariq, in Muscat, where discussions focused on the latest developments in Iranian-American negotiations.

Larijani also met Omani Foreign Minister Badr Albusaidi, who has been mediating indirect talks between US and Iranian officials, and warned against Israeli involvement in the negotiations, urging Washington to remain “alert” to Israel’s role.
